Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 3:05PM On Saturday, January 14, 2012 the bothers of the Alpha Omicron chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha welcomed fifteen new pledges. Followed on January 20 by one more accepting an open bid. This is the second year in a row that Pi Kappa Alpha has obtained the largest pledge class of the four fraternities on campus. The AO'12 pledge class looks promising with members that are active in several activities around campus. They also have many members who participate in sports for Southwestern such as baseball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, track, and cross country.

Pledging
Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 9:28AM On Saturday April 16, the active chapter and pledges participated in International Workday 2011. International Workday is an annual initiative of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity to encourage chapters to improve and renovate their houses. This year's projects included:
Restoration of the Barbeque Trailer: The baseboards of the trailer had rotted, making it unsafe to grill on. The metal on the grill was also beginning to rust. The chapter replaced these boards and sprayed the smoker, pit, and grill with rust-proof paint. The chapter also replaced the trailer hitch, as the old one was becoming unusable.
Restaining of the DJ Booth: In the chapter room, the DJ booth had become scratched and the varnish was wearing off. Some of the brothers resanded and restained the DJ booth.
Restaining of the outdoor bar: AO '09 had previously built the bar and it needed a new coat of varnish.
Other projects included cleaning the kitchen, reorganizing the storage locker, and cleaning under the stairs.
